There’s Joy in Planning for the Future

April 19, 2010

Life Changes: Plan for It. That’s the motto of the law firm of Morgan and DiSalvo. I visited Loraine DiSalvo this week to get more information about how to best plan for the future. We talked about wills, advance health directives (the new term in Georgia for the living will), durable power of attorney (now part of the Advanced Health Care directive), and more.

There’s Joy in Volunteering: CASA

April 19, 2010

If you would like to discover the rewards of giving back, and need some ideas about great places to start, this month I’m doing a series highlighting two worthy organizations: Make-A-Wish Foundation and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children). This episode focuses on CASA for Children, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. Connie Stephens, the Executive Director of CASA for the Hall County-Dawson County region, explains all about CASA, and how to get involved. One of the children who has benefited from the CASA program shares a poem she has written about her experiences.
